What does preorder mean?

During big holiday seasons, Good Eggs opens a preorder period allowing our customers to shop further in advance of a delivery. This means everything you need is secured ahead and scheduled to arrive when you are ready to receive it.

I’m a customer but not a member. Can I preorder on December 14?

Yes! Preorders open on December 14th for everyone.

Why do some products show as unavailable?

Make sure you have selected “Christmas Preorder” as your delivery date in the dropdown menu at the top of your basket. Once selected, you'll see accurate inventory information as you shop.

Can I edit my preorder once I place it? 

Yes. You can edit until the cut-off time before your delivery is scheduled. Cut-off times are:

• For the Bay Area:

  • 11pm the night before for next-day delivery windows beginning at 6am or 11am for same-day delivery windows between 3pm-9pm.

• For LA customers:

  • 9pm for next-day delivery.

  • Reminder for LA: We do not do deliveries on Thursdays.

How will substitutions work with my preorder? 

Typically, as a customer, you have the option to deny or accept substitutes on each order. However, from December 22-24, all customers will be given automatic substitutions, meaning that if something you ordered is not available, we will select the best possible alternative.

Can I still shop for my weekly groceries after placing my preorder?

Yes. Just make sure you select the correct delivery window. Orders for Christmas will be marked as “PREORDER” in the delivery window list.

How long can I preorder?

Preorder opens December 14.

Preorders will end on December 21. You can still place regular orders for delivery December 22-24. On those days, there will be an additional delivery charge of $3-$5 on top of standard fees, to account for the holiday demand.

We will not be delivering on Christmas Day (for both Bay Area and LA) in order to give our employees time to be with their friends and family.

What is the latest date I can place an order to get it by Christmas?

For the Bay Area, you can order up until 11pm on December 23 for delivery on December 24 beginning at 6am, or up until 11am on December 24 for same-day delivery between 3pm-9pm.

For LA, you can order up until 9pm on December 23 for delivery on December 24.

What are your delivery dates for the holiday season?

We will not be delivering on Christmas Day in order to give our employees time to be with their friends and family.

For LA only, we will not be delivering on 12/26.
