What does preorder mean?
During big holiday seasons, Good Eggs opens a preorder period allowing our customers to shop further in advance of a delivery. This means everything you need is secured ahead and scheduled to arrive when you are ready to receive it.
I’m a customer but not a member. Can I preorder on October 22?
We are opening preorders exclusively to our members on October 22. This early access to our holiday selection is one of our membership perks, as well as having first choice of delivery windows. It’s not too late though! You can sign up to be a member and get preorder access before we open it up to the public on October 29. Why do some products show as unavailable?
Make sure you select your delivery day to be “PREORDER”. Then you will be able to see accurate item availability.
Can I edit my preorder once I place it?
Yes! You can edit until the cut-off time the evening before your delivery is scheduled (11pm for Bay Area, 9pm for LA).
How will substitutions work with my preorder?
Typically, as a customer, you have the option to deny or accept substitutes on each order. This will be true for preorders delivered before November 20, but from November 20-22, all customers will be given automatic substitutions, meaning that if something you ordered is not available, we will select the best possible alternative.
Can I still shop for my weekly groceries after placing my preorder?
Yes. Just make sure you select the correct delivery window. Orders for Thanksgiving will be marked as “PREORDER” in the delivery window list.
How long can I preorder?
Member-only preorder opens October 22
Non-member preorder opens October 29.
Preorders will end on November 17. You can still place orders from Nov 18-21 to receive for Thanksgiving, however there will be a delivery surcharge of $7.99 for deliveries on November 20-22. We will not be delivering on Thanksgiving day in order to give our employees time to be with their friends and family.
What is the latest date I can place an order to get it by Thanksgiving?
You can order up until 11pm on November 21 for delivery on November 22.
