A Letter From Twin Whiskey Producers

Twin sisters Ali and Samantha Blatteis think about whiskey as more than a libation. To them it’s an agricultural product that can support local farms. They founded Home Base Spirits in Berkeley with a mission to create whiskey that’s fun, approachable, made with premium ingredients, and sourced and produced locally.

Dear Good Eggs customers,

Thank you to all of you who try our whiskies and celebrate spirits as an agricultural product.

We started Home Base Spirits because we feel there isn’t enough transparency, quality, or attention paid to the ingredients and their growing practices in the spirits industry. We are grateful to Good Eggs customers who support our mission to highlight the farmers, invest in sustainable distilling practices, and delight in the local terroir of our whiskies.

We are also grateful for sharing our mission and craft at your holiday tables. Trying new spirits and whiskies can often feel exclusive or intimidating, and by serving a pour or gifting a bottle, you are helping to break down those barriers and welcoming someone new to try a truly local spirit.

Thank you for celebrating, indulging, and learning with us!

Cheers,

Ali and Samantha
